Wheatfield Commons, a distinguished DePaul Senior Living Community, is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join their team on a full-time basis, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours working from 11 am to 7 pm. Job Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- two years experience in food service industry preferred
- required annual tuberculosis testing and annual health assessment
- awareness and application of sanitary food preparation standards
- required references and successful criminal record check

Job Duties
- Responsible for the overall function of kitchen and dining room services while on shift
- create an environment of respectful teamwork supervising and working alongside dietary aides
- ensure food preparation and sanitation practices and policies are followed in a safe environment
- ensure residents are prepared and served the diet prescribed by their physicians in a friendly, customer service oriented manner
- act in a professional manner at all times and serve as a role model to other staff
- complete other duties as assigned by the dietary director
