Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- 18 years or older
- Ability to pass a background check
- Successful completion of Live Scan background check prior to employment
- Satisfactory physical examination
- Passing a reading comprehension test
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to cooking and kitchen maintenance
Job Qualifications
- Two to three years of experience in food preparation and kitchen maintenance or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to read, understand, and speak English
- Skilled in interacting with guests and team members in a high-volume environment
- Proficient in basic math skills including addition and subtraction of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions
- Ability to measure dry and liquid ingredients accurately
- Skilled in operating various kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety rules and procedures
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Culinary knowledge related to food inventory, recipes, and menus
- Ability to lead small teams collaboratively
- Accurate in completing and maintaining paperwork
Job Duties
- Prepare food items according to standardized recipes and production methods
- Operate kitchen equipment including mixers, slicers, ovens, grills, and fryers
- Maintain sanitation and safety standards in food production and storage
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately using appropriate units
- Lead and motivate small teams of 2-5 food service workers
- Complete and maintain accurate production and temperature logs
- Interact effectively with guests, team members, and managers using positive communication techniques
