Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • 18 years or older
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Successful completion of Live Scan background check prior to employment
  • Satisfactory physical examination
  • Passing a reading comprehension test
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to cooking and kitchen maintenance

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years of experience in food preparation and kitchen maintenance or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to read, understand, and speak English
  • Skilled in interacting with guests and team members in a high-volume environment
  • Proficient in basic math skills including addition and subtraction of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions
  • Ability to measure dry and liquid ingredients accurately
  • Skilled in operating various kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety rules and procedures
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Culinary knowledge related to food inventory, recipes, and menus
  • Ability to lead small teams collaboratively
  • Accurate in completing and maintaining paperwork

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items according to standardized recipes and production methods
  • Operate kitchen equipment including mixers, slicers, ovens, grills, and fryers
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in food production and storage
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately using appropriate units
  • Lead and motivate small teams of 2-5 food service workers
  • Complete and maintain accurate production and temperature logs
  • Interact effectively with guests, team members, and managers using positive communication techniques
