Job Requirements

  • able to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by local gaming regulations
  • able to obtain and maintain Food Handlers Serv Safe certifications as required by the Lake County Health Department regulations
  • able to lift up to 25-30 lbs
  • able to stand for long periods
  • able to navigate crowded spaces
  • flexible in bending and reaching
  • adaptable to casino conditions including bright lights and noise

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of previous cooking experience preferred
  • experience utilizing wok or traditional Asian cuisine equipment preferred
  • knowledge of health and sanitation standards
  • proficiency in proper cooking techniques and knife skills
  • strong food knowledge
  • bilingual abilities are a plus
  • passion for hospitality

Job Duties

  • execute daily prep and service with precision and consistency
  • prepare a variety of Asian dishes including stir-fries and noodle-based dishes
  • utilize wok cooking, steaming, and braising techniques
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen areas
  • participate in line checks
  • follow health and safety regulations
  • assist in educating front-of-house staff on daily specials
