Job Requirements
- able to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by local gaming regulations
- able to obtain and maintain Food Handlers Serv Safe certifications as required by the Lake County Health Department regulations
- lift up to 25-30 lbs
- stand for long periods
- navigate crowded spaces
- flexibility in bending and reaching
- adaptability to casino conditions including bright lights and noise
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of previous cooking experience preferred
- experience utilizing wok or other traditional Asian cuisine equipment preferred
- bilingual skills are a plus
- knowledge of health and sanitation standards
- proper cooking techniques and knife skills
- food knowledge
- ability to follow direction and work collaboratively
Job Duties
- execute daily prep and service with precision and consistency in Asian and Latin American cuisine
- prepare a variety of Asian dishes including stir-fries and noodle-based dishes
- apply Asian cooking techniques such as wok cooking, steaming, and braising
- maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas
- participate in line checks and support daily sanitation efforts
- follow all health and safety regulations
- assist in educating front-of-house staff on daily specials
