Job Duties
- Prepare and properly store ingredients including washing, chopping, dicing, mincing, pureeing, peeling, cutting, mixing, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
- Safely and properly store all food and prep items in correct locations
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present menu items often handling multiple orders simultaneously
- Read tickets carefully to ensure ingredient modifications are accounted for in preparation
- Safely operate and handle all kitchen equipment
- Check orders for modifications and communicate allergen information to relevant parties
- Follow food allergy preparation standards including sanitizing utensils and surfaces
- Exceed guest expectations and ensure food quality and safe handling
- Set up and break down kitchen stations effectively
- Consistently follow recipes and production guides
- Complete side work and closing duties efficiently
- Warn employees and guests of potential hazards such as knives, hot equipment, and inclines
- Maintain cleanliness and adhere to company standards
- Stay informed on daily specials, menu changes, and discontinued items
- Report customer and employee incidents promptly to management
- Obtain required food handling and alcohol service certifications
- Pass company menu and alcohol product tests
- Follow company control procedures to safeguard assets
- Use POS system to process carry-out orders and payments
- Participate in pre-shift and staff meetings
- Adhere to break policies and accurately record payroll hours
- Monitor payroll hours to avoid unauthorized overtime
