Job Duties

  • Prepare and properly store ingredients for menu items including washing, chopping, dicing, mincing, pureeing, peeling, cutting, mixing, seasoning and portioning ingredients
  • safely and properly store all food, food prep, and other items in correct locations
  • accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present menu items, often performing these tasks simultaneously with multiple food orders
  • accurately read tickets to ensure ingredient modifications are factored into food preparation
  • operate and handle all kitchen equipment safely
  • check orders for modifications including removal of allergens
  • communicate modifications to essential parties
  • follow and practice food preparation standards for customers with food allergies including sanitizing and replacing utensils and surfaces
  • exceed guest expectations by ensuring they are positively impacted
  • maintain food quality and safe food handling
  • set up and break down kitchen and kitchen stations efficiently
  • consistently follow recipes, portions, and product production guides
  • complete side work and closing duties effectively
  • warn employees and guests of hazards proactively
  • adhere to company cleanliness standards
  • stay updated on specials, features, and menu deviations
  • report customer and employee concerns, injuries, accidents, and high-risk issues promptly
  • obtain required food handling and alcohol certifications
  • pass required company tests
  • follow control procedures to safeguard assets
  • use allergy alert functions in POS system
  • answer phones promptly and take carry-out orders efficiently
  • greet and process payments for guests picking up orders
  • participate in pre-shift and mandatory staff meetings
  • obtain permission before breaks where allowed
  • maintain accurate payroll records via POS
  • monitor payroll hours and notify management regarding overtime thresholds
