Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate
- Degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience
- Previous experience cooking in a kitchen
- Ability to work with older adults preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop and lift 15 to 20 pounds using proper body mechanics
- Sufficient hearing and visual abilities to comprehend written or verbal communication
- Maintain grooming standards and wear provided uniform
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate
- Degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience
- Previous experience working in a cooking capacity in a kitchen
- Prior experience working with older adults preferred
Job Duties
- Report for work when scheduled, on time and in uniform
- Follow all safe food handling procedures
- Check all cooler and freezer temperatures
- Prepare breakfast food items, having them on the service line before 7:30 a.m
- Begin lunch preparation while keeping breakfast line replenished
- Pull food from service line after breakfast service, wrap, label and refrigerate
- Finish lunch preparation and serve food before 11:30 a.m
- Prepare special orders
- Perform cleaning duties including stove, prep tables and steamer
- Order produce and manage inventory
- Check with chef before leaving
- Perform any other jobs as assigned
