Job Requirements
- high school graduate or equivalent with six months of experience in food preparation
- thorough knowledge of sanitation standards and procedures
- portion control experience
- five years of experience in food service with three years in institutional food service environment is acceptable
- ability to follow detailed recipes and HACCP guidelines
- availability to work full time with rotating shifts
Job Qualifications
- high school graduate or equivalent
- knowledge of food preparation
- understanding of sanitation standards and procedures
- experience in portion control
- completion of an accredited cooking program is preferred
- experience in institutional food service environment is an asset
Job Duties
- follow approved hospital recipes and procedures
- adhere to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines
- prepare and coordinate all menu requirements as determined by department needs
- maintain sanitation standards and procedures
- control portion sizes accurately
- ensure food safety and quality
- assist in inventory management and food storage
