Job Requirements
- Completion of high school education
- Two years of experience in quantity cooking and food preparation including one year equivalent to Cook E6
- Passing pre-employment screening including drug screen
- Successful criminal history background check
- Fingerprint check by Michigan State Police
- Submission of cover letter or memo, resume, and official college transcripts if applicable
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week on a permanent intermittent basis
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in quantity cooking and food preparation
- One year of experience equivalent to Cook E6
- Knowledge of health department standards for cleanliness and safety
- Leadership skills to oversee kitchen helpers
- Ability to follow directions and perform assigned tasks
Job Duties
- Lead worker overseeing less-skilled kitchen helpers
- Prepare items for meals including preparation, service, and cleanup
- Maintain health department standards for cleanliness and safety
- Receive and put away stock
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
