Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years experience in quantity cooking and food preparation
- On-the-job training or experience in kitchen leadership preferred
- Willingness to participate in District 70 payroll direct deposit program
- Successful completion of background check
- Ability to comply with district policies and procedures
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years or more experience in quantity cooking and food preparation
- One year of on-the-job training as assistant manager or kitchen leader preferred
- Food service safety certification preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a team and maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of nutritional guidelines for school meals
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook large quantities of food according to established recipes and nutrition standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and equipment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies
- Support kitchen leadership in daily operations and staff coordination
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet district standards
- Follow district policies and procedures for food service
