Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years experience in quantity cooking and food preparation
- One year on the job training as assistant manager or kitchen leader preferred
- Willingness to participate in District 70 payroll direct deposit
- Successful completion of background check
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
- Availability to work 5.5 hours per day for 151 days annually
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree
- Food service safety certification preferred
- Minimum of two years experience in quantity cooking and food preparation
- One year of supervisory or kitchen leadership experience preferred
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and observe food safety regulations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook large quantities of food according to established recipes and nutritional guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and equipment
- Ensure food safety standards are met and followed
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of food supplies
- Supervise and train kitchen staff as needed
- Collaborate with nutritional services to offer attractive and nutritious meals
- Operate kitchen appliances and equipment safely and efficiently
