Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- minimum of 6 months to 1 year previous experience in back-of-the-house food service position preferred
- ability to read and understand recipes and food abbreviations
- familiarity and experience with knife handling preferred
- ability to communicate with others and work in a fast-paced environment
- attentive and detail oriented
- capable of following procedures and taking directions
- basic math skills
- must be able to lift 50 lbs or more
- able to reach up to seven feet, bend, and squat
- capable of standing and walking for the entire shift in moderate to high noise levels
- manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip foods and liquids
- able to operate kitchen equipment

Job Duties
- Prepare food to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures
- ensure proper food temperatures are maintained
- store food correctly
- maintain the freshness and quality of all menu items
- package all products to proper specifications
- keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
- use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
- perform opening, closing, and side work duties
- complete end-of-day inventory
