Job Requirements
- completion of 2-year culinary apprenticeship or culinary associate degree or equivalent experience
- ability to follow recipes and prepare food with minimal supervision
- knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- physical ability to stand for long periods
- ability to transport up to 50 pounds
- obtain and maintain a food handler's card
- willingness to work up to 40 hours per week during probationary period
Job Qualifications
- completion of 2-year culinary apprenticeship or culinary associate degree
- experience gained in a restaurant specializing in continental or classical cuisine may be substituted for formal culinary education
- ability to prepare food from a recipe with minimum supervision
- demonstrated knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- ability to produce required quality and quantity of foods with supervision
- ability to obtain and maintain current Williamsburg James City County food handler's card
