Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Minimum of three years' cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Current Food Handlers card
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Strong communication skills to speak effectively to groups
  • Ability to think independently, solve problems, and make sound decisions
  • Demonstrated initiative and responsibility
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player
  • Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Work and master all kitchen stations
  • Ensure superior standards of service meet the requirements of guests and employees
  • Proactive in exceeding guest satisfaction including investigating and resolving guest or employee challenges
  • Follow cleaning schedule and checklist daily to ensure a clean and sanitary environment
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding vegetables and fruits
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles
  • Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods while adjusting oven and equipment temperatures
  • Observe and test foods by tasting, smelling, and visual inspection
  • Carve meats, portion food on serving plates, add gravies and sauces, and garnish servings to fulfill orders
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
