Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing, wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Prepare and cook food and leave prep set up to standard for next day of service
  • Communicate assistance needed during busy periods to Chef to ensure optimum services
  • Check and ensure correctness of temperature of appliances and food
  • Monitor quantity of food prepared and portions served to ensure high guest satisfaction
  • Fulfill special guest requests involving dietary and allergy restrictions
  • Report and work to correct imperfections and blemishes in food preparation and presentation
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and extended hotel team to ensure alignment
