Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- minimum one year food service or related work experience
- ability to operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment
- ability to read, write and speak basic English
- ability to apply common sense to follow instructions
- ability to understand and apply basic math skills
- must be able to work in a fast-paced and high-stress kitchen environment
- able to function safely and efficiently under extreme kitchen heat conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent experience
- minimum one year food service or related work experience
- ability to operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill
- able to read, write, and speak basic English
- apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions
- understand and apply basic mathematical skills for dilution ratios, portion control, etc.
- prefer at least two years experience in a high volume kitchen

- plate salads, pantry and fried items
- prepare food consistently following recipes and portion standards
- start food items ahead without overproduction
- date and rotate all food items properly
- check pars, prepare, freezer pull and set up line
- communicate out-of-stock items
- assist buffet setup and stocking
- return unused food properly stored
- assist in vegetable and condiment prep
- maintain food cleanliness standards
- perform routine cleaning and maintenance on kitchen equipment
- manage time and productivity based on business volume
- adhere to health and safety standards
- work efficiently under high stress and heat conditions
