Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • minimum one year food service or related work experience
  • ability to operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment
  • ability to read, write and speak basic English
  • ability to apply common sense to follow instructions
  • ability to understand and apply basic math skills
  • must be able to work in a fast-paced and high-stress kitchen environment
  • able to function safely and efficiently under extreme kitchen heat conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • minimum one year food service or related work experience
  • ability to operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill
  • able to read, write, and speak basic English
  • apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions
  • understand and apply basic mathematical skills for dilution ratios, portion control, etc.
  • prefer at least two years experience in a high volume kitchen

  • check pars, prepare, freezer pull and set up line
  • communicate out-of-stock items
  • assist buffet setup and stocking
  • return unused food properly stored
  • assist in vegetable and condiment prep
  • maintain food cleanliness standards
  • perform routine cleaning and maintenance on kitchen equipment
  • manage time and productivity based on business volume
  • adhere to health and safety standards
  • work efficiently under high stress and heat conditions
