Job Requirements

  • At least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of line cooking or fine dining experience
  • Culinary degree or related experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull moderate weights
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • Possession of valid California Food Handlers Certification

Job Qualifications

  • Good communication skills
  • At least 3 years of previous line cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to perform basic and intermediate cooking skills
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
  • Ability to work multiple stations in the kitchen
  • Requires moderate supervision and training
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk long periods
  • Flexible with work schedule including weekends and holidays
  • California Food Handlers Certification required

Job Duties

  • Perform basic and intermediate cooking skills including preparation of soups, sauces, and stocks
  • Frying and broiling food items as required
  • Multi-task by cooking for different kitchen stations such as Banquets and Outlets
  • Maintain quality standards of food preparation and presentation
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen team and supervisors
  • Follow health and safety regulations including food handling
  • Adapt to flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
