Job Requirements

  • high School diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum of three years' cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
  • current Food Handlers card
  • ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
  • ability to speak effectively before groups
  • ability to think, work, solve problems, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment
  • demonstrate initiative and accept responsibility
  • must be self-motivated, proactive, and a team player
  • must be able to pay attention to details and work in a fast-paced environment
  • flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • work and master all kitchen stations
  • ensure superior standards of service meet the requirements of guests and employees
  • proactively exceed guest satisfaction and resolve challenges
  • follow daily cleaning schedules to maintain sanitation
  • prepare food by washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding vegetables and fruits
  • measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, and vegetables adjusting cooking temperatures as needed
  • observe and test foods by tasting and visual inspection
  • carve meats and portion food on plates
  • perform other assigned duties
