Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • minimum of three years cooking experience in commercial kitchen
  • current Food Handlers card
  • ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions
  • effective verbal communication skills
  • ability to solve practical problems and make independent decisions
  • initiative and responsibility for actions
  • self-motivated and proactive team player
  • attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Work and master all kitchen stations
  • ensure superior standards of service meet the requirements of guests and employees
  • proactively exceed guest satisfaction by investigating, responding to, and resolving challenges
  • follow cleaning schedule and checklist daily to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
  • prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding vegetables and fruits
  • measure and mix ingredients according to recipes for soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles
  • bake, roast, broil, and steam various foods while adjusting oven temperatures
  • observe and test foods by tasting, smelling, and visual inspection
  • carve meats, portion food on plates, add gravies and sauces, and garnish servings
  • perform other duties as assigned.
