Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of three years cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Current Food Handlers card
  • Ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules and procedure manuals
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups
  • Ability to solve practical problems and make independent decisions
  • Demonstrate initiative and accept responsibility
  • Be self-motivated, proactive and a team player
  • Able to pay attention to multiple details
  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Work and master all kitchen stations
  • Ensure superior standards of service meet the requirements of guests and employees
  • Proactive in exceeding guest satisfaction including investigating and resolving challenges
  • Follow cleaning schedule and checklist daily to ensure a clean and sanitary environment
  • Familiar with food preparation, cooking, and serving techniques and able to read cooking instructions
  • Wash, peel, cut, and shred vegetables and fruits
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • Bake, roast, broil, and steam various foods adjusting equipment settings
  • Observe and test foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and visual inspection
  • Carve, portion, and garnish food servings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
