Job Requirements

  • High School diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Minimum of three years cooking experience in commercial kitchen
  • Current Food Handlers card
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions
  • Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of customers or team members
  • Ability to think, work, solve practical problems, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment
  • Demonstrated initiative and acceptance of responsibility for decisions and actions
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented
  • Attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with continuous improvement expectations
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Work and master all kitchen stations
  • Ensure superior standards of service meet the requirements of guests and employees
  • Proactively exceed guest satisfaction and quickly resolve challenges
  • Follow cleaning schedule and checklist to ensure a clean and sanitary environment
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding vegetables and fruits
  • Measure and mix ingredients for various recipes
  • Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
  • Observe and test foods by tasting, smelling, and visual assessment
  • Carve meats and portion food on serving plates, add gravies and sauces, and garnish servings
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
