Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year culinary or related work experience
  • ability to operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill
  • proficient knife skills
  • ability to multitask
  • legal work authorization in the United States

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items per guest orders according to recipe cards, production, portion, and presentation standards
  • complete mise en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service
  • start food items prepared ahead of time without exceeding estimated needs
  • operate, maintain, and properly clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill
  • date and rotate food containers, maintain proper temperatures for perishables
  • check pars for shift use, determine preparation needs, freezer pull and line set up
  • note out-of-stock items or possible shortages
  • return unused food items to designated storage areas, covering and dating all perishables
  • assist in food cost control by setting plans to correct problems, controlling waste, loss, and usage per policies
