Job Requirements
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
- three years of professional cooking experience in institutional or high-volume settings
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand for long periods
- manual dexterity to operate kitchen equipment and appliances
- availability to work weekends and evenings
- compliance with food safety regulations
- willingness to undergo verification of education and experience

Job Qualifications
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
- at least three years of professional experience in cooking large quantities of food in institutional or high-volume settings such as hospitals, correctional facilities, the military, hotels, or restaurants
- completion of a one-year culinary arts certificate program, apprenticeship program certified by a nationally recognized culinary arts organization, or associate’s degree in culinary arts may substitute for one year of experience
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- effective communication and teamwork skills
- knowledge of food safety standards
Job Duties
- Follow prescribed menus and recipes to meet nutritional guidelines and accommodate special dietary requirements
- prepare and cook large quantities of a variety of food including specialized diet items
- order and maintain inventory of food and kitchen supplies
- ensure compliance with food safety standards and practices
- forecast food and supply needs and communicate requirements to management and chefs
- oversee and assist in cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils
- collaborate with nutrition professionals to develop standardized recipes
- maintain accurate records and reports related to kitchen operations
- plan and implement kitchen procedures to optimize productivity
- supervise and direct food service staff in their daily responsibilities
- perform other duties as assigned or required
