  • Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events

Job Duties

  • Operate all stations in the kitchen including grill, gas range, electric range, broiler, deep fat fryer, serving table, waffle iron, griddle, skillets, and other kitchen equipment
  • Portion and arrange food on serving dishes with precise portion control and presentation
  • Prepare, season, and cook stocks, soups, sauces, meats, vegetables, and desserts
  • Prepare, measure, mix, and cook appetizers, salads, pastas, sandwich fillings, waffles, and other food items following recipes
  • Create intricate specialty hors d'oeuvres for high-end banquets and fine dining
  • Inventory product, read menus and banquet event orders to estimate food requirements and create production plans
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines including HACCP standards
  • Monitor and maintain proper food temperatures during preparation, cooling, holding, and serving
  • Taste and observe food to ensure quality and specification compliance
  • Assist guests with special dietary needs when necessary
  • Clean kitchen equipment
  • Communicate with guests on stage to explain cooking techniques or answer questions
  • Conduct daily cold and hot holding equipment and food checklists
