Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Two to four years experience in fast-paced food service
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to read and follow recipes and prep lists
- Basic English proficiency
- Physical capability to stand, lift, walk, and perform kitchen tasks
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
- Punctuality and dependability
- Maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Degree or certificate in culinary arts preferred
- Two to four years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant, catering, or relevant food service area
- Proactive, self-motivated, and organized with ability to prioritize
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
- Punctual and dependable
- Ability to read and retain information such as recipes, prep lists, menus, and signage
- Basic mathematical skills
- Basic English speaking and reading skills
- Ability to work well with others in a stressful environment
- Ability to maintain personal hygiene and well-groomed appearance
- Physical ability to stand, walk long distances, kneel, lift at least 30 pounds, carry items, push carts, and bend down
- Experience working in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment with close quarters
Job Duties
- Maintain a friendly and positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times
- Report for scheduled events on time and report to assigned areas promptly
- Fulfill assigned opening and closing duties
- Report to direct supervisor for prep lists and timelines of daily tasks
- Prepare and handle food safely following correct recipes
- Maintain walk-in coolers, reach-ins, dry storage, and work areas
- Have extensive knowledge of all menus including specials
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, attendants, runners, chefs, and management
- Work collaboratively with fellow associates and other service departments
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly kitchen environment
- Complete closing duties and checkout with manager or supervisor
- Know the kitchen and back-of-house layout and be able to direct staff and guests
- Be aware of other food and beverage outlets within the venue
- Adapt to reassignment and flexible scheduling including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Practice safe work habits and complete safety training
