Job Requirements

  • one to five years of prior cooking experience depending on the role
  • physical ability to perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand long periods without sitting or leaning
  • ability to bend stretch twist and reach with body and arms
  • able to work under variable temperatures and noise levels
  • near vision capability
  • agility and quick movement
  • ability to work long hours as required
  • effective communication skills in English

Job Qualifications

  • culinary training in a college setting preferred
  • prior cooking experience in a hotel kitchen or related field preferred
  • experience in banquet fine dining and line cooking for certain roles
  • good communication skills
  • ability to multitask effectively
  • able to convey and understand information in English

Job Duties

  • prepare breakfast lunch and dinner meals according to the executive chef's guidelines
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen work area
  • follow all sanitation and safe food handling procedures
  • work professionally with the kitchen team to ensure timely food delivery
  • assist in ordering and managing inventory to stay within budget
  • train or assist kitchen staff as needed
  • adhere to safety and security policies and procedures
