Job Requirements

  • ensure timely completion of food preparations for service
  • assist and supervise kitchen line to maintain efficiency productivity and quality
  • supervise banquet food preparation per banquet orders
  • maintain the clean as you go policy and kitchen sanitation
  • supervise breakdown and proper storage after meals
  • enforce safe work habits and hotel policies
  • familiarize with emergency procedures
  • ensure employees are attentive friendly and courteous at all times
  • secure food storage areas
  • maintain the employee break room cleanliness and order
  • maintain high food quality standards and find ways to improve
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas
  • assist in training staff on kitchen equipment
  • attend management meetings
  • perform other management requested duties

Job Qualifications

  • previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • at least 5 years of related progressive experience or culinary graduate with at least 1 year experience in a hotel or related field
  • valid food handlers certification compliant with state requirements
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to evaluate and select alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • ability to work in high-pressure situations

Job Duties

  • supervise and assist in the preparation of food items for restaurant dining outlet cafe room service employee cafeteria and banquets
  • ensure completion of necessary food and station preparations prior to service
  • support any kitchen position needing help during operating hours
  • supervise food preparation for banquets following banquet event orders
  • assist in the preparation of food for employee cafeteria
  • maintain the clean as you go policy and sanitation of the kitchen
  • supervise and assist with the breakdown of buffets and kitchen lines
  • enforce safe work habits and hotel policies
  • aid in the security of food items
  • maintain high food quality standards and cleanliness
  • assist in training staff on kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • attend management meetings
  • perform other duties as requested by management
