Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- minimum of two years cooking experience in commercial kitchen
- current Food Handlers card
- ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members
- ability to think, work, solve practical problems, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment
- must demonstrate initiative and accept responsibility for decisions and actions
- must be self-motivated, proactive, and a team player
- must be able to pay attention to multiple details and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected
- this position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- minimum of two years’ cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
- current Food Handler’s card
- ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- effective verbal communication skills with customers and team members
- strong problem-solving and independent decision-making skills

- ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail

Job Duties
- Work and master one kitchen station
- accept responsibility for personal decisions and actions
- ensure superior standards of service meet guest and employee requirements
- proactively exceed guest satisfaction
- investigate and resolve challenges from guests or employees
- follow cleaning schedule and checklist daily to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
- prepare food including washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding vegetables and fruits
- measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- cook food using baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming techniques
- adjust thermostat controls for ovens and other cooking equipment
- observe and test foods for quality by tasting, smelling, and visual inspection
- carve meats, portion food on serving plates, add gravies and sauces, and garnish servings
- perform other duties as assigned
