Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • minimum of two years cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
  • current Food Handlers card
  • ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • ability to speak effectively before customers or team members
  • problem-solving skills with sound judgment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Work and master one kitchen station
  • accept responsibility for personal decisions and actions
  • ensure superior standards of service meet the requirements of guests and employees
  • proactively exceed guest satisfaction by investigating and resolving challenges
  • follow daily cleaning schedule and checklist to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
  • prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding vegetables and fruits
  • measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • cook foods by baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, adjusting temperature controls accordingly
  • observe and test foods by tasting, smelling, and visual inspection
  • carve meats, portion food on serving plates, add gravies and sauces, garnish servings to fulfill orders
  • perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
