Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid state-issued identification
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to adhere to all sanitation and safety protocols
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts including weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in large-scale food preparation or institutional cooking preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Preparing food items for 280 meals per day
  • Adheres to food nutritional value per the recommended daily food allowance
  • Operates commercial kitchen equipment including skillets, ovens, warming trays, fryers
  • Maintains sanitary standards for food service operations through observation, instruction, and disciplinary measures
  • Maintains control of kitchen tools, equipment, and food supplies to ensure security procedures
  • Monitors food temperatures to ensure safe serving and storage
  • Transports meals to clients at different residential locations
  • Verifies inventory and applies first-in, first-out food usage
  • Maintains ServSafe certification and completes recertification training
