Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- assist in menu planning and development, contributing innovative ideas to enhance the dining experience
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations
- operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools
- collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
- monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed
- support dietary aides in preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements when necessary
- participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols
