Job Requirements

  • Equivalent to high school graduation
  • Three to five years of culinary experience
  • Valid Clark County Health Department Food Handler Safety Training card
  • Ability to work in a typical kitchen setting
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • Willingness to work shifts and weekends
  • Effective communication skills
  • Adherence to infection control policies
  • Compliance with food safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Three to five years of culinary experience
  • Valid Clark County Health Department Food Handler Safety Training card
  • Recent documented cooking experience within the last three years
  • Experience in a high-volume industrial culinary setting preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Experience with modified diets preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare meal entrees and food for special functions
  • Prepare cafeteria and patient menus
  • Prepare checklists for food handlers
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Monitor and assign work activities
  • Maintain proper sanitation in food handling
  • Use kitchen and cafeteria equipment effectively
