Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of one year experience in food preparation
- knowledge of food safety regulations
- ability to stand for extended periods
- good communication skills
- ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- minimum of one year experience in a similar position
- experience and or knowledge of special diets, meal preparation for large groups preferred
- safe food handling techniques are required
- ability to read and understand recipes
- work in a team environment
- work flexible shifts
- handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and or in writing
Job Duties
- assists in maintaining a well-organized and efficient food service department
- demonstrates a complete understanding of all basic food production skill sets with the ability to perform these error-free and meet the company quality standards
- prepares and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized manner
- follows food health and safety regulations
- manages kitchen inventory and ensures proper storage of food items
- collaborates with team members to meet residents dietary needs
- maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen
