Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of relevant cooking experience
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • prior kitchen or cooking experience in a cafeteria or large volume production facility is a plus
  • knowledge of safety procedures in food service environments

Job Duties

  • Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties and complete opening and closing checklists daily
  • set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • safely use a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
  • operate equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
  • comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and recipes
  • handle, store, label, and rotate products properly per state laws
  • stock and maintain sufficient food product levels at line stations
  • understand menu items and prep ingredients
  • multitask effectively in a high-volume kitchen
  • handle hot and cold work conditions during food preparation
  • stand and be on feet for extended periods during shifts
  • perform other related duties as assigned
