Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability to work full-time 12-hour day shifts including alternating weekends
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks
  • Must follow all safety and health regulations
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Willingness to adhere to hospice care environment standards
  • Reliability and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food service
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Capability to work 12-hour day shifts including weekends
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques

Job Duties

  • Participate actively in food preparation and delivery
  • Set up, clean up, and sanitize work areas and equipment
  • Maintain inventory control and product rotation
  • Ensure proper labeling and safe food handling practices
  • Take accountability for kitchen operations in absence of management
  • Support workflow within the Nutrition Service Department
  • Uphold hygiene and sanitation standards
