Job Requirements
- high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- two years of recent relevant experience
- knowledge of maintaining a safe food environment including proper cleaning procedures and equipment
- ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions
- ability to instruct and functionally supervise other employees
- written and verbal communication skills
- well-developed time management and organizational skills
- general knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
- ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
- ability to work independently and collaboratively
- ability to identify and resolve standard problems
- ability to build collaborative relationships with others

Job Duties
- prepare and cook food for patients, staff, visitors and catering functions
- follow established policies and procedures to ensure food quality and accuracy
- instruct and functionally supervise other employees performing similar duties
- support sanitation by cleaning and storing dishes, utensils and pots
- disinfect work areas to maintain safety and hygiene
- communicate effectively with team members, supervisors and hospital personnel
- ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations regarding food safety and sanitation
