Job Requirements

high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
two years of recent relevant experience
knowledge of maintaining a safe food environment including proper cleaning procedures and equipment
ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions
ability to instruct and functionally supervise other employees
written and verbal communication skills
well-developed time management and organizational skills
general knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
ability to work independently and collaboratively
ability to identify and resolve standard problems
ability to build collaborative relationships with others

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

prepare and cook food for patients, staff, visitors and catering functions
follow established policies and procedures to ensure food quality and accuracy
instruct and functionally supervise other employees performing similar duties
support sanitation by cleaning and storing dishes, utensils and pots
disinfect work areas to maintain safety and hygiene
communicate effectively with team members, supervisors and hospital personnel
ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations regarding food safety and sanitation
