Job Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • ability to work flexible full-time or part-time hours, including weekends
  • willingness to work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, fire, noise, and slippery surfaces
  • physical stamina to stand for up to 8 hours or more and lift up to 50 pounds
  • adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and standard operating procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior cooking or kitchen experience preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong time management skills
  • excellent teamwork and communication abilities
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Follow prep/par sheets to prepare product for shift
  • accurately cook, assemble, and package customers' orders according to Hat Creek's standard operating procedures
  • follow all portion control procedures, accurately record food waste, follow proper holding and storage of all food items, ensure correct food temperature is reached and maintained
  • work in a safe and sanitary manner following all local and state requirements
  • unpack and store incoming inventory and truck orders, ensure cleanliness of your cooking area, maintain safe operation of all kitchen equipment, and report any kitchen equipment that is not working properly
  • provide excellent customer service through interactions like "Hi's and Bye's" from the kitchen
  • uphold the restaurant's culture and mission statements while performing work in the kitchen
