Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cooking or food preparation experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good physical stamina for kitchen duties
- Positive attitude and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience in restaurant industry or customer service
- Experience as a cook in a healthcare setting is highly desired
- Ability to read and understand directions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to interact professionally and cooperatively
- Capable of performing essential job functions with or without accommodation
Job Duties
- Prepare nutritious meals according to residents' care plans
- Ensure food quality, appearance, cleanliness, and sanitation standards are met
- Interact professionally and positively with residents, residents' families, and employees
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Maintain kitchen equipment and work areas
- Collaborate with dining services team to deliver excellent customer service
- Comply with dietary restrictions and special meal requests
