Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior cooking or food preparation experience
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Good physical stamina for kitchen duties
  • Positive attitude and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in restaurant industry or customer service
  • Experience as a cook in a healthcare setting is highly desired
  • Ability to read and understand directions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to interact professionally and cooperatively
  • Capable of performing essential job functions with or without accommodation

Job Duties

  • Prepare nutritious meals according to residents' care plans
  • Ensure food quality, appearance, cleanliness, and sanitation standards are met
  • Interact professionally and positively with residents, residents' families, and employees
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and work areas
  • Collaborate with dining services team to deliver excellent customer service
  • Comply with dietary restrictions and special meal requests
