Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food preparation or culinary environment
  • knowledge of state and local health and safety regulations
  • ability to follow established recipes and portion standards
  • physical ability to perform kitchen duties including standing for long periods
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • good hygiene and personal cleanliness
  • willingness to take direction and collaborate with kitchen staff

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare all required items
  • set up service units with needed items
  • prepare items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
  • notify sous chef of expected shortages
  • ensure assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary
  • assist the sous chef in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen
  • maintain neat professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules
  • set-up, maintain and break down prep cook station
  • requisition items needed to produce menu items
  • adhere to state and local health and safety regulations
  • cover, date and neatly store all leftover products that are re-usable
  • maintain the highest sanitary standards
  • coordinate and time orders with other kitchen operations
  • make recommendations for maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the line prep area and equipment
  • attend staff meetings
  • assist with other duties as assigned by sous chef
