Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience in food handling, preparation, and serving
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Food Service Manager's License from the State of Texas

- Must have or be willing to obtain a Food Service Manager's License from the State of Texas
- Experience working in a large-scale food service operation, especially in a nonprofit or institutional setting
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Certification in food safety or similar programs
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to supervise and delegate tasks to volunteers and residents
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen
- Respect for confidentiality regarding resident information
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook hot and cold food items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to established menus
- Serve meals and manage leftovers, adhering to proper safety and food storage guidelines
- Ensure compliance with local and state health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Safely operate kitchen equipment, maintaining cleanliness in both the kitchen and dining areas
- Monitor food storage areas and help manage incoming food donations
- Oversee the food preparation process, ensuring efficient and organized meal service for large groups, including children
- Supervise and direct volunteers and residents involved in food service tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to a positive and organized kitchen environment
