Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • at least 1 year of related work experience
  • ability to stand sit or walk for extended periods
  • able to lift carry push or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation policies
  • good verbal communication skills
  • no supervisory experience required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • at least 1 year of related work experience in food preparation or culinary environments
  • experience operating kitchen appliances such as ovens stoves grills microwaves and fryers
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow recipes and food preparation checklists
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing food
  • wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
  • weigh measure and mix ingredients
  • prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards presentation standards and food preparation checklist
  • operate ovens stoves grills microwaves and fryers
  • test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
  • wash and disinfect kitchen area tables tools knives and equipment
