Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a related food service position preferred
  • Possession of Food Handler's Card/Certification as required by local or state regulations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 55 pounds
  • Manual dexterity and ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive motion tasks
  • Willingness to work in a kitchen environment with heat, steam, fire, and noise

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a food service or cooking position preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Basic math, reading, and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates ability to multi-task
  • Excellent teamwork attitude

Job Duties

  • Correctly prepare all foods served following standard recipes, working on several different orders simultaneously
  • Restock food items and kitchen supplies
  • Operate cooking equipment such as flat grills, char broiler, fryer, slicer
  • Comply with all established standards including personal safety, food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform
  • Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques
  • Keep work area neat and clean at all times
  • Clean and maintain equipment, cooking surfaces, and utensils used in food preparation
