Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cooking experience preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must speak and understand conversational English
- Must be punctual and reliable
Job Qualifications
- Proficient in conversational English and menu reading
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and safety
- Experience in a kitchen or cooking role preferred
- Ability to quickly learn and memorize menu items and recipes
- Strong organizational skills
- Good communication skills
Job Duties
- Read English menus to accurately and quickly prepare menu items
- Visually observe food and discard unfit items
- Track and inform management of discarded food
- Keep assigned area and storage clean and clutter free
- Maintain master knowledge of food items and recipes
- Assist in prep area as needed
- Discard, restock and maintain food items during closing
- Transition next shift cook on current day’s progress
- Complete cleaning and operational checklists
- Maintain attendance in accordance with employee handbook
