Job Requirements
- Kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work full or part time including days, evenings, and some weekends
- Food handling knowledge and ability to follow safety protocols
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and order in kitchen and storage areas
- Capability to operate kitchen equipment
- Ability to assist with production planning and inventory
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Commitment to abide by company policies and safety procedures
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing, lifting, and operating equipment safely
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior kitchen experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, and weekends
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper food handling
- Ability to maintain records and assist in inventory and ordering processes
- Willingness to participate in training and development opportunities
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and is responsible for records from the area worked during service periods
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat ensuring food and supply items are stored per standards
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required
- Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- Demonstrates personal commitment to safety and compliance with company policies regarding protective gloves, footwear, and lifting techniques
