Job Requirements

  • One to three years experience
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and measure ingredients accurately
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards and food safety procedures
  • Capability to use appropriate kitchen equipment and maintain clean work areas
  • Good physical stamina for standing and moving during shifts
  • Effective communication skills
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to work day shift hours including weekends
  • Commitment to personal hygiene and food safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • One to three years experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Certified or willing to become certified for food safety

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items as assigned using standardized recipes
  • Ensure food products meet temperature and quality standards
  • Follow recipes weighing and measuring ingredients to assure consistency
  • Use correct portioning utensils
  • Assemble food within appropriate time frames
  • Prepare bakery items per standardized recipes
  • Develop and test recipes as directed
  • Complete all documentation related to production
  • Handle and prepare food safely following HACCP procedures
  • Take and document temperatures of food items and make adjustments
  • Hold food at appropriate temperatures and within time limits
  • Follow established hand-washing and personal hygiene procedures
  • Follow employee health guidelines to prevent disease transmission
  • Follow HACCP standards for food storage, product rotation and thawing
  • Store and label food and supplies following HACCP guidelines
  • Prevent food contamination
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal customers
  • Sanitize equipment and work area per schedule
  • Sweep and mop floor as spills occur
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Clean and sanitize equipment after each use
  • Use appropriate equipment and chemicals
  • Use personal protective equipment properly
  • Gather soiled laundry and place in assigned area
  • Maintain separate clean and dirty areas
  • Properly dispose of food waste and trash
