Job Requirements

At least 6 months experience in healthcare or restaurant facility
Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification within 1 year of hire or grandfathered exemption
Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire at specified locations
Ability to follow instructions and perform basic math
Capability to work in fast-paced and changing environments
Willingness to adapt to schedule and assignment changes

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED culinary degree preferred
Experience as a cook in a healthcare facility preferred
Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification or willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire
Basic math skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexible and adaptable to changes
Knowledge of safe food handling procedures

Job Duties

Prepare and present high quality food within specified time frame for patient and retail services
Follow proper safe food handling procedures
Take customer orders and prepare food according to recipe and dietary specifications
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area
Adapt to changes in schedule and work assignments
Collaborate with healthcare and food service team members to ensure customer satisfaction
Monitor food inventory and report shortages or quality issues
