Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- Ability to work around extreme heat from cooking equipment
- Ability to work in noisy environment
- Willingness to purchase non-slip shoes
- Ability to follow chemical safety guidelines
- Ability to follow food safety and quality standards
- Ability to perform essential cooking duties safely
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Less than high school education, GED or high school degree accepted
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions
- No computer skills required
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
- Ability to work in fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to follow food safety policies
- May require State Food Handler certification within 60 days of hire
Job Duties
- Sets up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Ensures all foods are prepared according to guidelines using only approved ingredients and processes
- Handles raw chicken in a safe manner at all times and prevents cross contamination
- Fries and bakes chicken
- Will work around hot oil and must closely follow all safety policies
- Safely utilizes a variety of utensils and cooking equipment
- Complies with established cooking methods, quality standards and food safety policies/practices
- Follows all chemical safety guidelines
- Discards ingredients/products that have expired or do not meet quality standards
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products
- Looks for opportunities to assist fellow team members in an enthusiastic manner
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Other duties as assigned
