Job Requirements

  • must be ServSafe certified
  • availability to work full time, Wednesday to Monday from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm
  • ability to follow recipes and food safety policies
  • experience in kitchen operation and maintenance
  • ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical demands of kitchen work
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • commitment to safety and hygiene protocols

  • ability to follow standardized recipes and adhere to food safety guidelines
  • excellent communication skills

  • basic math skills for portioning and inventory
  • flexibility to work the specified schedule

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • uses established ticket collection procedures during service and is responsible for records during service periods
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and stores or discards excess food safely
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat, ensuring food and supply items are stored per standards
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
  • assists in ordering and receiving all food and supplies as required
  • reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • demonstrates personal commitment to safety of self and others
  • abides by all company policies including the use of cut gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques
  • performs other duties as assigned
