Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in restaurant, hospital or school food service in food preparation
  • Ability to speak, read, write, follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to perform simple math functions to follow standardized recipes
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must wear uniform and comfortable leather shoes at own expense

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in restaurant, hospital or school food service in food preparation
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to perform simple math functions to follow standardized recipes
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance practices
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes
  • Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure food quality
  • Set up and maintain patient tray lines and other food service areas
  • Check and regulate temperatures of cooking equipment and food
  • Assemble food supplies and equipment for daily production and special functions
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper care of work areas and equipment
  • Report equipment or supply problems to the supervisor promptly
