Job Requirements

  • At least two years of scratch cooking experience
  • Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Willingness to work full-time with varying days and hours
  • Compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Ability to use protective equipment such as cut-resistant gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Must be able to maintain a drug-free workplace
  • Willingness to undergo background screening if required

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years of scratch cooking experience
  • Ability to prepare food in compliance with federal, state, and corporate standards
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Capability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to maintain positive workplace relationships
  • Willingness to participate in safety and in-service trainings
  • Commitment to workplace safety and hygiene

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals using correct portioning, ensuring food temperature, attractiveness, and taste
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures and maintains accurate records
  • Cleans kitchen areas after preparation and service, maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, ordering, and receiving food supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • Ensures own safety and clean, safe work environment while performing job duties
  • Follows HACCP standards for food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
  • Complies with company safety policies including use of protective gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
  • Performs other duties as assigned
