Job Requirements
- At least two years of scratch cooking experience
- Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodations
- Willingness to work full-time with varying days and hours
- Compliance with company policies and procedures
- Ability to use protective equipment such as cut-resistant gloves and slip-resistant shoes
- Must be able to maintain a drug-free workplace
- Willingness to undergo background screening if required
Job Qualifications
- At least two years of scratch cooking experience
- Ability to prepare food in compliance with federal, state, and corporate standards
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Capability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to maintain positive workplace relationships
- Willingness to participate in safety and in-service trainings
- Commitment to workplace safety and hygiene
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serves meals using correct portioning, ensuring food temperature, attractiveness, and taste
- Uses established ticket collection procedures and maintains accurate records
- Cleans kitchen areas after preparation and service, maintaining cleanliness standards
- Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, ordering, and receiving food supplies
- Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
- Ensures own safety and clean, safe work environment while performing job duties
- Follows HACCP standards for food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
- Complies with company safety policies including use of protective gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
- Performs other duties as assigned
